What is your pet policy? At Penrose on Mass Apartments, we know that your pet isn’t just a pet, they're family. That’s why Penrose on Mass is proud to be dog and pet friendly for our Indianapolis Residents. We do have some restrictions on breed and size*, and animals that fall under that umbrella may only reside in second-floor and third-floor apartments and in all penthouses. Keeping those guidelines in mind, know that at Penrose on Mass you and your furry friend are always welcome, and we hope you feel right at home with some of our most pet friendly amenities: Spacious floor plans, so you always have room to fit your pet bed or crate. A quality neighborhood. Penrose on Mass prides itself on being one of the most lively and friendly neighborhoods in Indianapolis, and that goes for our furry Residents as well. Bear in mind that while Penrose on Mass is happy to provide a home for pet-owners in Indianapolis, we require all Residents with pets to show courtesy to their neighbors and clean up after their pets and adhere to any and all community guidelines. Additional fees apply for pet-owning Residents. There is a $250 non-refundable pet fee for pet owners, plus a $25 monthly pet rent per pet. Penrose on Mass Apartments enforces a 2-pet limit per unit, and a size restriction of under 30 pounds. Dogs on the 2nd and 3rd floor only and in all penthouses. *Call 317-661-4399 for any questions on our pet policies. Do you let Residents pay their rent online? Absolutely! To log into our current Resident portal to pay your rent or put in a service request, view our Resident Information page. Do you let Residents break their lease? Yes. There is a fee of $4,000 for breaking your lease at any time, which can be lowered to $2,000 with a 60 day notice. Does Penrose on Mass require a credit check? Yes, Penrose on Mass and all other J.C. Hart communities necessitate a credit check to be performed during the application process. Do you charge a fee to apply? Yes. An administrative fee of $250 per apartment is required that is used to cover the application, background screening, and processing charges related to a new rental. Are there discounts available for students, elderly Residents, or military members? J.C. Hart is proud to be an Equal Housing Opportunity Provider, but we currently do not offer any special discounts. Do you provide income-based housing? No, Penrose on Mass does not offer income-based housing. Does Penrose on Mass allow Residents to pay the entirety of their lease upfront before I move in? No, we do not let Residents prepay their full lease terms. Rent must be paid monthly, on the first of every month.
